The Sorensen ILCA Bailer Lever Installs in one second!

Detailed How to Install the Sorensen ILCA Bailer Lever in 30 seconds or less

Here are the 4 simple steps to install your ILCA/Laser Bailer Lever

1. align the lever this way with the flat section facing away from the bailer and the curve facing away from the front of the bailer, don’t worry you can’t install it the wrong way.

2. Clip the first tab into the first slot

3. Clip on the second tab, push the bailer door inward with your thumb as shown to slide the tab on easier

4. Push the second tab fully into the slot

That’s it, here is the lever fully installed, ready to go back on your boat.

When you re-install your bailer be sure to put some silicone on thru-hull screw

Also permitted by class rules – with clear packaging tape, tape over the bailer screw, then tape along the sides of the bailer from fore to aft covering the side seam, then tape over the leading edge covering the two side pieces, this gives you a perfectly flush bailer so now that you have the lever installed and have taped your bailer, you have maximized drag reduction – as much as is possible within ILCA class rules (demonstration of this coming soon, check back soon!)
